Workshop – Food and Housing: Increasing the Access to basics

Moderators: Mark Supper, Marilyn Ditty, Peter Dreier

Discussion on practical and successful strategies for ensuring that basic shelter and nutrition needs of older adults are met as a prerequisite and foundation for effective provision of other services. Policy issues surrounding the availability of food and housing in a wide variety of settings including rural regions, and for diverse populations will also be explored.

GLEH will be proudly participating as featured presenters and moderators at the Conference on Healthy Aging on February 2nd, 2010. This will be a statewide conference on healthy aging issues presented in collaboration with The California Wellness Center and The Center for Civic Partnerships. GLEH staff will be presenting and sharing their expertise with statewide agency leaders on such topics as Increasing access to food and housing to aging communities.
